The West Bengal Chapter of IIA has its roots as The Eastern Chapter of IIA in the late seventies and transformed into The West Bengal Chapter in the late eighties. The Chapter has seen 18 Chairmen over the years, many Chapter Conventions and has hosted 2 IIA National Conventions.

SPEAKERS
Ar. Fumihiko Maki, Winner of Prince of Wales Prize in Urban Design in 1993 from Harvard University was honored by many of the professions highest accolades, including the Wolf Prize from Israel in 1988, the Thomas Jefferson Medal in Architecture in 1990, the Gold Medal of the UIA in 1993.
