What do we do in SNC1P?

• 4 units:

Chemistry – Atoms, Elements and Compounds

Biology – Sustainable Ecosystems

Electricity - circuits, lightning, static, renewable resources,

non-renewable resources

Astronomy - outer space, black holes, space travel

EVALUATION – where your marks come from

• Knowledge and Understanding - 15%– unit tests

• Thinking (Inquiry) - 20%– Labs

• Communication - 15%– Oral and written work

• Application (Making Connections) - 20%– Case studies

• Final Exam– During exam period, 1.5 hours long,

covers all units
