Welcome to Curriculum Night

~ Ms. Reynolds ~Please write any questions on the pink papers at the table.

Personal Information:

• I’m a vegetarian.

• Very competitive at heart! I have played sports all

my life, coached high school volleyball at Shiloh HS, currently play in an adult soccer league and train daily —I don’t know what for yet.

• I love pigs and mustaches!

Take my job seriously and love teaching!

Education:

• I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio

• Graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor’s in Political Science and Elementary Education

• Graduated from UT with a Master’s in Elementary Ed. Curriculum and Instruction

• This is my 13th year at Shiloh, but my first in 3rd grade. I am very excited for the change in grade level and have loved having the “little ones” the last week and a half.

My Expectations:

• 3 Expectations (School wide rules) – Be Ready– Be Responsible– Be Respectful

• While I am teaching I expect students to: – Be actively listening, thinking, and participating in our discussion – Not disrupt the learning of others– Remain on task when working independently

Behavior – Positive Feedback

• Class Dojo

Students can earn points for positive choices.

Students will earn small rewards for receiving an 80% or more each week. A larger reward will be given every 2-3 weeks for students who maintain a 90% average over those weeks.

• You can check this in “real time” on your phone, computer, or tablet.

• I can send individual or email blasts about reminders in class through this app.

7 Step Plan

• I have placed a copy on each desk, please look over it.

• Only used if needed, not every child will need one. – Large offenses – Continuous offenses that interrupt the learning environment

• If needed, you will be called for each step and made fully aware of the process and consequences.

“Friday Folders”

• Conduct grade and Work Habits grade for the week (E, S+, S, S-, N, or U)

• Work will come home as it is ready, so please check the folder each night. Please REVIEW all assignments with your child. (Encourage correct answers and reinforce incorrect answers by reviewing the missed problems with your child).

• If your child made a failing grade on any given class work or test, please review the assignment(s) with your child. Note: All failing assignments must be signed and returned so I know that you are aware of any difficulties for that particular skill/subject area.

• You and I are a team!
