• Ask questions/Outline expectations for your teacher (inside)

• Get up and talk to your new classmates

• Figure out if they fit any of your blanks

• Have them write their names in their own handwriting

• Fill as many different blanks with as many different names as you can

• Oreo article close read activity

• Name Game

• Close read videos (if time)

Bellwork!

• Get out a sheet of paper.

• Write down the answer to:

• 1. What did you just eat?

• 1. What did you eat?

• 2. Look at the cookie. Look with eyes only. What do you see? Describe it in as much detail as possible.

• 3. Now touch the cookie. Describe how it feels.

• 4. When you have finished number three, you may lick the cookie… still, it should be whole.

• 5. Smell the cookie. Describe it in detail

• 6. Nibble the cookie. Describe it in detail.

• 7. Eat the cookie!!!!!! What do you notice?

• Now, the next cookie.

• Repeat the steps: see, touch, smell, taste, think

• 8. Compare the experience of eating the first cookie with the experience of eating the second cookie.

• 9. Move that Pencil for the next 6 minutes :)

• write about this activity- whatever comes to mind
