Install and Configure ADFS 2.0

Download the software :

Open a browser on the Windows 2008 R2 Server

and navigate to http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=151338

Click Continue in the Web Page, next to the RTW\W2K8\amd64\AdfsSetup.exe row

Select do not register and click Continue

Click download for the “RTW\W2K8R2\amd64\AdfsSetup.exe” row

Save the installer on the Desktop.

Install the software:

Execute the Installer once downloaded. Click Next

Accept the license agreements. Click Next

Select Federation Server. Click Next

Click Next

Click Finish

Create SSL Certificates:

From the Start Menu select, Progams > Administrative Tools > Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. Select the machine on the left hand side menu. In the IIS section of the middle side, click on Server Certificates. On the right hand side Actions menu, click on open feature.

On the right hand side Actions menu, click on Create a Self Signed Certificate

Enter the friendly name such as, ADFS Federation Oracle, for the self signed certificate. Click OK

Close the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager

Configuring ADFS 2.0:

From the Start Menu, select > Progams > Administrative Tools > AD FS 2.0 Management

Click on AD FS 2.0 Federation Server Configuration Wizard link on the middle panel.

Select Create a new Federation Service. Click Next.

Select Standalone Federation Server. Click Next.

The SSL Certificate previously created will be already selected. Click Next.

The summary of the configuration will be displayed. Click Next.

The configuration screen will be displayed. Click Close once the configuration is done.
