Plant 51
Plant #51 is now almost 2m tall in it’s 300mm pot, one of the first grown as
trees. She is an integral part of the breeding program and has given seed three
times now.
The large Red treble has shown blue edges in the right conditions.
Can bud and flower straight from the stems and has flowered continually all
winter.
Through the wonders of generational adaption, the seed that I am getting from
this hybrid #6A (Plant #51/#57/#71 there are more than a dozen) prove to
have acclimatised to our conditions here in North Queensland extremely well.
A variety of seed is always available for this hybrid, which as the study shows
gives a large % multi-petal plants. With improvements in colouration, petal
count and blue edge effect being seen in each new generation. This seed has
become very exciting to grow.
