The COVID-19 pandemic has proved to be a massive and long-lasting challenge for our industry to overcome. While the challenge is far from over, we’ve come a long way over the past 12 months and we can see some light at the end of the tunnel.
It is with this in mind that Inside Asian Gaming celebrates the 14th Asian Gaming Power 50 Gala Dinner under the theme, “We Emerge Stronger”. This year represents the 14th straight year in which IAG has produced the Asian Gaming Power 50 and in that time it has established a reputation not only as the definitive guide to the most influential people in Asian gaming but a lasting record of achievement. Given this unprecedented time we find ourselves in, IAG takes great pride in bringing the industry together in recognition of its resilience. The 2021 Asian Gaming Power 50 Gala Dinner will again be at the very top of this year’s wish list for the who’s who of Macau gaming.
The global pandemic has undoubtedly changed our industry, perhaps in some ways forever, but knowing the strength and resilience of our industry, there is one thing all of us here at IAG are sure of, and that is whatever our industry looks like in the future, we will emerge stronger.

The Asian Gaming Power 50 list is judged by an esteemed panel of hand-selected judges with decades of industry experience:

The judges examine each gaming business in the Asian gaming industry and assign one point for each US$1 million in GGR. Those points are then allocated between the organisation’s key one, two or more key executives. Scores are then adjusted up or down for a multitude of positive and negative factors. The final stage of the judging process involves examining the list for reasonableness and looking at key head to head match ups and making appropriate minor adjustments.
The judging process is arduously long and intense, and usually takes some 60 person hours over the period July to October. Typically emails totalling some 15,000 words are written between the judges during the process.
