Step 1: Identify the key things you want to get across to your target audience

Step 2: Rank these in order of importance

Step 3: Translate these into importance of size onto a pie chart

Step 4: Decide whether to go portrait/landscape, or something in between

Step 5: Remember how the eye takes in a layout

Step 6: Transfer your pie chart onto your chosen layout, dividing it into the

same number of segments as your pie chart

Step 7: Draw out how you want it to look – A Rough
