S H O P P I N GWashington D.C. has developed some interesting shopping experiences in the last few decades. Spend a day and check out these places!

Georgetown• Historic Georgetown is filled with all types of fun shops, from boutiques and antique stores, to luxury retailers. Mazza Gallerie • Located at 5300 Wisconsin Ave NW, the Mazza Gallerie is a shopping, dining, and entertainment complex. CityCenterDC• CityCenterDC is a complex of buildings in downtown Washington D.C. The complex, located at 825 10th St NW gives a Fifth Avenue experience with a series of high end and luxury boutiques and restaurants.

Eastern Market• At 225 7th St SE, Eastern Market is a public market in a 19th century brick building. Check out the amazing stalls filled with awesome foods and art pieces.

T R A V E L T I P S• Buy a SmarTrip card. The Metro is a great form of transportation in Washington D.C. If you plan to use it multiple times, save money and buy a SmarTrip card at any of the stations.

• Plan your day by area. While much of the city’s sites are in close range to one another, it might make sense to check the maps and plan your day by location, rather than theme. The National Mall is a lot bigger than it looks, but if you like to explore, we recommend walking the city. You’ll see a unique side to it and get those steps in!

• If you’re not a fan of crowds, plan your visit around the off season, which is usually the Fall and Winter.

• The national monuments are open 24 hours a day, so you don’t have to worry about missing out, but plan a full day (or two!) if you plan to hit the National Gallery.
