I. Four Burdened Men (vv. 1-3)

A. Many things we don’t know about these

men.

B. What we do know about them.

C. When people do not go to Jesus, people

die in their sins.

Acts 8:4

Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word.

Ephesians 4:11-12, And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,

12for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ…

II. A Broken Up Roof (v.4)

A. They approached the house with their

friend in his bed.

B. Overcoming the obstacles is not always

easy.

C. The roof provides a route to get their

friend to Jesus.

III. An Empty Bed (v. 5-12)

A. When Jesus saw their faith…

B. “Son, thy sins be forgiven thee” (v.5)

- 2 Cor. 5:17, Therefore, if anyone is in

Christ, he is a new creation; old things have

passed away; behold, all things have become

new

C. “Take up your bed and go to your house.”

to come and bring

them to Jesus?
