Home improvement programme
Join us in improving the houses of needy children staying in poor living environments. Together with fellow volunteers,
help them by painting their houses, installation of proper lightning and improving storage capabilities, you help create
a new and neater environment for the and their families to live and study.
Dates Every second Saturday of the month
Time 9am to approximately 4-6 pm ( depending on house condition)
Cost S$20 will be collected from every participant to help cover the cost of materials used for the house
Meetings Every Tuesday following the second Saturday of the month. This is at 7.30pm at 365 Clementi Ave 2

Join us in providing financial assistance to children from low income families.
(a) Visit Schools and interview children to understand their needs. (b) Advertise their needs on our fund raisingwebsitewww.wishingwell.org.sg. (c) organize a disbursement party for these student and their families to
receive gifts and meet their donors.
Dates Every last Saturday of the quarter ( march, June, September, December)
Time 11am to 2pm

Joy Poster Children art exhibition.
Children Define joy very differently from us. It could mean parents no longer arguing, a bicycle, a bed to stay in or
simply a nice big meal of fast food.
Visit Schools and facilitate children to draw what joy means to them. Organize a art exhibition and bring joy to them
and their families at a childrens day out.
Dates 28th and 29th June 2013
Time Full day on both days

Hot Meals * New programme*
Student Advisory Centre has embarked on new social service programme under Lunch box fund called Hot meals.
We have established a trial partnership with a Girls home at Mattar Road, a shelter for female youths at risk, who stayaway from home. We are sponsoring Lunch on the 4
thSaturday of every month, in Feb, march and April.
The program is as follows
10am Selected volunteers pick up food from the caterer ( Prisons Department)
11am Food serving with the beneficiaries
1130 Interaction and meals with the students
Games ( Optional)
1230 End
We hope through regular support of volunteer to the same home, we can foster some support and mentoring
activities eventually with the students. Please let me know ifyou would like to consider this program and serve with us
for 3 months. The dates are
- 23rd February- 23rd March- 20th April ( 3rd Saturday due to other events)
A 1.5 hour meeting is called for on 5th of Feb 2013 for this purpose. 7.30pm at SAC clementi, 365 Clementi Ave 2 #01-
503. Meeting is compulsory. The agenda is to know the charity, and to plan for the event execution.
Approximately 25 female residents are expected to attend, and around 10-15 volunteers will be helpful. Kindly rsvp to

Community Arts Classes
Student Advisory Centre is organizing a free community arts class, volunteers are called to provide support in guiding
students to learn and draw.

Training is provided, we have vacancies only for 8 volunteers.
