To increase in greatness, power or wealth; to build up or intensify; to make appear greater.

It took a lot of work for Fred Smith to aggrandize FedEx, now every one knows it.

-Some of us tend to think of the President as being irrevocable. In actuality he or she can still be impeached by congress.

When the man washed up on the island and sat down, he became an insular resident

Infer

To find out by reasoning; to arrive at a conclusion on the basis of thought; to hint, suggest, imply.

The teacher was astonished by what we had to infer on the topic suggested.
