ValueThe degree of light and dark in a design. It’s the contrast between
black and white and all of the tones in-between Value can be used with color as well.
Value ScaleShows the range in values from black to white and light to dark.
CONTRAST is the extreme changes between values.
GRADATION is the gradual changes between values.
SHADING is when lines or other marks are used to fill in outlines of a sketch, engraving, or painting to represent gradations of color or darkness
