What are all these THINGS?• User assets

Administrative Assets

• Transports• Targets• Destinations• Configuration Sets

Administrative Assets

• User, Groups, & Roles• Data Definitions• Workflow Definitions• Asset Factories

Administrative Assets

• Content Types• Metadata Sets• Publish Sets

(that *won’t* be covered today)

Administrative Assets:

Transports

• Server Name• Server Port• Server Directory *• Username (and password)

Transports contain *almost* all of your remote host information.

Administrative Assets:

Targets

• Base Folder• Output File Extension (include the .)• Type of Data• Checkbox options (see screen)

Targets contain the publish destinations for ONE FILE EXTENSION

Administrative Assets:

Destinations

• Can override or add to directory (from Transport)

• Activation (Enable destination)• Applicable for Groups

Destinations bind a single Transport to a single Target

Administrative Assets:

Configuration Sets

• 1 configuration uses 1 Template• You can set/override region assignments (from

Template)• You can use a Template in more than one

configuration• Naming configurations

Config sets group Templates. A Page is affiliated with a config set.

User Assets (Publishable)• Files (text)

• Files (binary)• Pages• Data definitions can only be used

on a Page
