AbstractClassrooms are embracing GIS as a powerful teaching tool. Geotechnologies are the perfect tools for teachers to use in implementing practices such as asking questions and defining problems; developing and using models; and planning and carrying out investigations. This presentation includes examples of (1) simple lessons designed to teach science content, and to show examples of students using this content knowledge to (2) identify community needs.
