Focus Group feedback – what worked

• Likes• All students felt Panopto recordings

for group presentation and lectures

was an excellent resources.

• Used by all of the students and the

added work load which was put in

was highly appreciated.

• Especially appreciated

presentations for which the power

points were attached in BB

• For exam preparation

panopto was time

consuming.

• Not all presentations had

slides were chaptered

• Provide Panopto and the

power points or pdf

separately in BB as

revision tool.

• Many students wished

that Panopto would be

used in other modules as

well….

Focus Group Feedback – next time

• Some very interactive lectures are not useful on Panopto since the student voice can not be heard.

• Briefing of the lecturer to repeat the questions or summarize the discussion briefly, so that it can be heard on Panopto.

• Or provide another microphone that could capture students’ voices.

• Ensure that the power point presentations are attached to the panopto recording.

18

Discussion

• Presentation practice

• English as 2nd language

• Unused features

• What next?
