Association first-year resident dental students, average tuition and fees rose by more than 50% from 2001 to 2011.
Overall, the first-year tuition at public schools increased from $10,642 to $25,618 (141%); private schools increased from $25,618 to $52,697 (70%).
Also the ADA reports the average four-year dental school total costs from 2001 to 2010 for resident students at private schools increased 66.5% from $141,123 to $234,992.
At public schools the resident costs rose 122% from $62,239 to $138,174.

Obligation starts after Dental School.

Commission as a 2LT in the United States Army Dental Corps during the duration of Dental School.
