The Great CommissionOverseas OR domestic activities or lifestyles that create
disciples of Jesus, spread the Good News, reflect God’s love, etc.
Your neighborhood is your missions field. It is smaller and bigger than you thought.
What is Urbana?
Since 1946, Urbana conferences have been providing a place for college students to learn about God’s global mission. Students learn about critical global issues from dynamic teachers, worship with thousands in one of the most diverse gatherings in North America, and hear testimonies about God’s faithfulness to the ends of the earth.
At Urbana, attendees participate in: General body assemblies (plenary session) Manuscript Bible studies Seminars on specific topics Praise and worship sessions Connexions (opportunities to get involved)

Pauline’s Main takeaways
Unity. Taiwan and China, Korean/Japanese joint prayer meetings Praise in different languages
Tangible reminder of the vastness of God’s family. If you ever feel alone in your faith where you are, remember the millions of
others there are out there even if they aren’t right next to you. Rejoicing together!
God calls us to rejoice; it was amazing to see so many members of God’s family rejoicing together
Awareness Many others out there are suffering for their faith; different social injustices
are rampant. It’s not enough to do good works, they must be connected to the gospel

“He also said, ‘This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain-first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come’”
