Urban Strategy Tool (UST) originated in collaboration between research organization TNO and ARCADIS

NOC (North East Corridor)

• Improve the accessibility in the Eindhoven-Helmond-Veghel region.

• The aim was to stay an attractive working and living environment with acceptable travel times.

• An Environmental Impact Assessment has been drafted, including stakeholder consultation.

• Urban StrategyTM was used for the Noise, Air and Health calculations.

Decision making in the NOC is challenging due to a number of factors: a large study area, many different designs and highly involved residents.

Some figures:

• Fast integrated approach, taking into account the interrelationships between topics

• Easy comparison of multiple scenario’s and designs, which allows for a larger number of scenario’s or larger study area

• Interactive sessions with stakeholders to stimulate participation and create support

• Visualization in 3D and in diagrams (tables)

• Data is easy interchangeable with GIS for further analyses or with other noise and air software
