URBAN DESIGN• Urban design involves the arrangement and design of buildings, public spaces,
transport systems, services, and amenities.
• The process of giving form, shape, and character to groups of buildings, to whole neighborhoods, and the city. • Urban design is about making connections between people and places, movement
and urban form, nature and the built fabric.

ABOUT GOA Smallest state according to area Located in western part of India
The State is bounded by Maharashtra on north and north east, Karnataka on east and south and by Arabian sea on west side.

Mapusa, etc.
Panaji or Pangim, usually known in English as Panjim is the capital of Goa and the headquarters of North Goa district.
Panaji means “land that never floods”. It lies on the banks of the Mandovi River . It has population of 114,405 in the metropolitan
area, and density is 3200/sq.km. (2011) Panaji is 3rd largest city of Goa It has terraced hills, concrete buildings with
balconies and red-tiled roofs, churches, and a riverside promenade.
There are avenues lined with gulmohar, acacia and other trees.

BUILDINGS:
The Municipal Garden•It is center of attraction of Panjim•This garden is surrounded with beautiful flowers and trees.•Lot of people especially in evening and early in morning come here .•This place originally was known as Garcia da Orta Garden.
OPEN SPACES:
Francisco Luis Gomes Garden•Sometimes known as the F L Garden there is a statue of Francisco Luis Gomes built in 1929. •Near the garden one can see the Kala Academy on the left side which is fascinated with marvelous facilities such as lovely auditoriums, both indoor and outdoor. •Here lots of activities take place such as dramas, exhibitions, functions, conferences, festivals etc.

• Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) has provided transport and connectivity to Goa's main towns and rural hinterland.
• KTC provides point-to-point services through what it calls "mini/midi buses" connecting the major commercial towns like Panjim, Margao, Vasco, Mapusa, Ponda, Curchorem.
• KTC was created to provide "safe, reliable, time-saving, efficient, comfortable and affordable" services for Goa's multitude.
• Apart from public transport, private cars and motorbike are also used for localized movement.
