Barnabas has always stood as a great example of an encourager.

-He helped the needy saints.

-He welcomed Paul into the missionary work of Jesus when all the other church leaders refusedto help

-He accepted Gentile believers.

-He let John Mark go back on a mission tour with him even after he had deserted

Barnabas and Paul on a previous trip.

II. WE CAN’T AFFORD TO TEAR EACH OTHER

Why does this grieve Jesus so much?

-It destroys individuals. - It creates disunity in the body and stops His people from working together to do His work.

-It ruins the testimony f the church before their community.

You have the right to disagree about something, but you don’t have the right to tear others down.

III. HOW CAN WE CHANGE THIS AT

A. We must become embarrassed to be living like the world in this matter.
