goods which allows farmers the opportunity to pay their workers above the usual minimum wage, helping to provide a
be$er lifestyle for their families. Bryan Benstrom, Owner, visits some of the best growing areas around the world to
select the finest beans to bring home for handcra(ed roas)ng. Below are photos from his recent trip to Honduras.

BENEFITS OF YOGA Wri$en by Jason Goodell m
Have you thought about giving yoga a try? Yoga has many health and mental benefits - almost too many to list
here! Here are some of my favorites and how they have helped me.
Stress Relief: The ac1va1on of the muscles during yoga is proven to reduce the stress hormone Cor1sol. In fact,
I can almost feel the stress mel1ng away while I am doing yoga. Don't get me wrong, this is not an easy breezy
workout. It can be tough trying to hold poses and some of the stretches.
Body to Mind Neuro Connec6ons: Yoga is a not only a physical
workout, it is mental as well. Connec1ng the mental to the
|physical parts of the body is a highly overlooked aspect of health
and wellness. If you feel healthy mentally, you will typically feel
healthy physically, too. I have no1ced that my mental clarity and
body awareness has improved greatly. I can actually catch my
balance more quickly if I slip or trip on something.
Core Strength: It wasn't un1l I started doing yoga that I no1ced my
abdominal muscles again. Holding your body in long isometric
stretches or holds will make the transverse abdominal muscle contract and become more engaged. This
repeated contrac1on and hold cause the deep abdominal muscles to 1ghten and eventually narrow your
waistline. I am a fan of that!
Please join us for yoga and start reaping these amazing benefits today! If it is your first 1me, introduce yourself
to the instructor and let them know you are new to yoga so they can help you through some of the poses and
stretches. My best advice is to not worry about your flexibility level or physical ability. Our instructors are
trained and aware that everyone has different abili1es. I was in1midated at first to and within a few minutes
realized no one was looking at me and I was able to relax and do my best. Good luck and enjoy Yoga.
We offer Yoga classes on Tuesday and Thursday every week. Please join us at either 7:30 am or 5:30 pm!
As a reminder, all our classes are free to our Athle1c Members.
