Universally specified and approved.
Every septic tank is vacuum tested
to ensure that it is watertight and
structurally sound.
The Klargester septic tank is an
efficiently designed system
whereby sewage is allowed tonaturally break down under an
anaerobic biological process.
Degraded solids form a sludge
which is retained in the primary
chamber of the tank and then
settled effluent is passed from the
tank into an effective soakaway
system. The collected sludge in the
septic tank should be removed by
tanker annually.
Klargester septic tanks have been
subjected to rigorous performance
tests, including a series conducted
under stringent Swedish standards.
The result is a tank design that
leads the market in performance
by minimising the level of
suspended solids in the final
effluent.
The unique Klargester baffle
arrangement has been recently
re-designed and improved toprovide conditions in the tank that
minimise turbulence. This
combined with a long upward flow
path ensures the optimum
settlement, even of fine solids.
Klargester has always maintained
that an adequate and properly
designed effluent disposal system is
vital to the effective performance
of any septic tank system. The
recent CIRIA Technical Note 146
also comments on this and
Klargester's Technical Department
will help you assess the results of
porosity tests, when determining
the size of soakaway for your
application.
Fo" do-.stic dwellings withoutmains drainage, Klargester's
septic tanks provide a reliable, economic and efficient solutionto your sewage disposal needs.
They can be used in locations
where approved porosity testshave demonstrated the subsoil
is suitable for the discharge and
dispersal oftreated effluent and
where approval has been grantedby the appropriate authority.
