Defining Audiences Target Audience = Who its aimed atHow do we identify the target audience?Schedule/channelCertificateDemographics: Age, Gender, Location, Psychographics (interests):

Mainstreamers

Seek security, tend to be domestic, conformist, favour family brands. Nearly always the largest group

Aspirers Seek status, they are materialistic, typical younger people

Suceeders Seek Control. Strong opinions, and ideas. Likes stability. Typically older

Explorers Seek discovery. Likes to explore new ideas, values difference and adventure. Typically younger 

Reformers Seeks enlightenment. Likes to be challenged, can form own opinion, very aware of social issues

Audience Targeting

Producers need to know who their target audience is so they can create their product in the correct way.

This means the audience will get the PREFERRED READING

Which means they will agree with the product and understand it the way the producer wanted them to.
