Audience/Users

• The aim of UNESCO Islamabad website is to create awareness among general public, particularly students, teachers, educationists, and policy makers about UNESCO activities and initiatives.

• UNESCO Islamabad had not undertaken any user needs assessment/user testing.

Management & Structure of the website

• Built in 2001 commonly with other UN Agencies• The Web server is physically hosted in the same building

but it is owned by UNDP and they are responsible for its maintenance. (BSD UNIX ver 4.8, Appachi)

• We pay app. 6500$/anum from I.C. to UNDP for all the facilities (i.e. Web server, E-mail, Internet, PABX, Multimedia Projector etc.)

• Country office specific• Freshness – No specific mechanism• Content provision = Programme Staff
