CLEARING & CONFIRMATION• CLEARING STARTS 1 JULY EACH YEAR

• After this date each applicant approaches each university to find out if they can offer a place

• EXAM RESULTS• Exam results released to HEI’s before pupils

receive them• Majority of results confirmed before pupils

receive them

• NEW FOR 2009 – THE ADJUSTMENT PERIOD• Applicants ‘TRADE UP’ if they’ve done “

CHANGES FOR 2010• CATCH NO LONGER EXISTS FROM 31 AUGUST 2009

• All Nursing & Midwifery applications submitted through UCAS

• ROUTE B NO LONGER EXISTS• All Art & Design applications submitted through Route A

• OPTION TO INVITE TO INTERVIEW THROUGH UCAS• Applicants are offered a date and can accept on Track

• OPTION TO GIVE FEEDBACK TO UNSUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS
