Server and Cloud Survey 2013
Worldwide cloud market is projected to be worth $131 billion this year and
is continuing to grow exponentially
Most everyone agrees the cloud market is growing, but often the exact adoption hurdles and usage plans remain ambiguous.
Our latest server and cloud survey aimed to bring those issues into focus by asking more than 5,800 Ubuntu users how they currently use the cloud, their plans for future cloud adoption, and current challenges they face. Among many interesting findings, three major themes emerged:
o More mission critical workloads are being deployed in the cloud o Ubuntu is the OpenStack private cloud deployment of choice o There is a growing need and market opportunity for cloud
orchestration tools This presentation lays out the main findings that create these three themes.
