Transcript of Truth about Amish

What if I were to tell you that there is nosuch thing as an Amish Mafia?

What if the cast of the hit show “Breaking Amish”were lying about their past?

There's a big misunderstanding about Amish; there are a lot of false claims when it comes to Amish people. I'm here to be the voice of

truth and let people know who the Amish really are.

People need to know the truthabout Amish people, and that shows, made by huge companies, are lying

to them.

You might be asking yourself, “why listen to this guy?”People should listen to me because my family is actually

Amish and I was raised Mennonite.

The reputation of the Amish can still be saved if the truthabout these TV shows were to come out and if people were

to be educated.

The Amish people on the show “Breaking Amish” aren’t who they

say they are, Amish aren’t living like pilgrims, and other

Mennonite/Amish people don’t support these “Amish” shows.

The cast of the show “Break Amish” are not who theysay they are.

Old pictures of Breaking Amish cast member, Sabrina, surfacednot too long after the show aired. In the show Sabrina says thatshe has never been married or lived without her parents. Well clearly that’s not the case.

This picture of “Breaking Amish” cast members, Rebecca and Abe also appeared a few short weeks after the show came on.

They said that they never dated before, but they did live togetheryears before going on the show and they even have a child

together!

Amish live a more normal life thanyou would think; they’re not Pilgrims.

Amish can actually have cell phones and go shoppingat places where everyone else shops.

Majority of Amish don’t farm anymore. Many Amishown their own businesses; a lot of Amish are also verywealthy.

Many other Amish and Mennonite people are weighingin on these new shows and they don’t seem to be in

favor of them.

A journalist, for the Washington Post who is Mennonitewrote an article speaking against the TV show

“Amish Mafia.” He speaks against Discovery Channel airing liesand he sheds light on the truth that there is no such thing as

an Amish Mafia.

“Breaking Amish” wanted to film at this Amish restaurant inSarasota, Florida. Permission was denied because the owners and

managers, who are either Amish or Mennonite, do notsupport the show.

These shows are fake and make up storiesabout the Amish. These shows need to comeoff of the air, and people need to know this.

- The cast of the show are lyingabout their past.

- Amish people live a very normal life much like everyone else

- Other Amish/Mennonite people are not supporting these shows.

There is a huge misconception of how Amish people, in America, are viewed. With new shows like, Amish Mafia

and Breaking Amish, is quit damaging to the Amish community. If the truth doesn't come out then the reputation of Amish people could be changed; I am

here to shed some truth on Amish people.

There’s still hope to shed new light on Amish people. The Amishare a fascinating group of people and TV shows should be allowedto tape them, if they desire, but these shows need to be truthful.
