The FarmPerdue Repair Service DBA Perdue Trucking of Knoxville, Tennessee

The StoryPerdue Repair Service works on Detroit Diesels and has been a Schaeffer customer since 1971. Owner, Alvin Perdue, owns three Volvo trucks that include a 1991 model with 1,650.000 miles on it, a 1994 model with 1,380,000 miles and a 1999 with 1,001,000 miles. All three have Detroit Series 60 engines.

Alvin has used Schaeffer’s Supreme 7000 15W-40 Synthetic Blend exclusively in these trucks without a major overhaul. He hauls potatoes from Idaho to Knoxville, Tennessee for Tom’s Potato Chips. Alvin recommends Schaeffer oil in all parts of the country to other truckers and is noted to be one of the finest mechanics in the country for rebuilding Detroit engines. He recently had a truck that came back from Idaho with 79,000 miles on the oil. He tries to change oil between 30,000 and 35,000 miles.

Incidentally, Tom’s Potato Chips is another Schaeffer customer. They have used #280 Food Grade Lubricant in their plant for twenty-two years.
