Tuesday PM winds: NW 35 kt gusts to 40 kt seas: 10-12 ft mostly SE swell

with periods 8 to 10 sec tides: 4 ft above normal

Summary

Overall track forecast has shifted significantly to the west. A hurricane watch is now in effect across all coastal MS and across coastal LA to Morgan City.

The current forecast could have major impacts for the Louisiana and Mississippi coastal waters beginning by Monday and Tuesday.

Tropical storm force wind probabilities are 80 to 90% for the MS coastal waters and 40 to 80% for the Louisiana coastal waters.

Hurricane force wind probabilities have now increased and are 15 to 30% for the MS coastal waters and 5 to 15% for the LA coastal waters.
