Transfer Prerequisite Courses

Transfer Prerequisite Equivalents at Virginia Community Colleges

(1) Generally, an Introduction to Business course will be accepted as meeting the requirement.

(2) Students planning to concentrate in Finance are strongly encouraged to complete additional elective coursework in mathematics.

(3) Humanities as defined by the College of Arts and Sciences. Three additional hours of humanities will be required before graduation and may be taken either before or after entering the McIntire School.

(4) Foreign Language as defined by the College of Arts and Sciences. After admission, foreign language prerequisites may, with prior approval, be completed by transfer during the summer prior to enrollment, but must be

completed before entering the School.

A Commitment to VCCS. UVA is committed to admitting qualified students from the VCCS, and more than half of McIntire’s incoming transfer students historically come from the VCCS. Students enrolled in the VCCS who are interested in applying to

McIntire should complete the suggested courses below prior to enrolling at McIntire.
