Get career-building skills, and prepare for post-secondary education, with the Toronto District School Board’s technical certificate programs.
Business & Technology Certificate Program
Gain valuable computer skills, such as networking and repair, and learn to use Microsoft Office applications, AutoCAD, Cisco Academy, computerized accounting and web design during this comprehensive certificate program.
Pre-Apprentice Hairstyling Certificate
Learn the valuable technical skills and theory needed to earn a certificate in hairstyling. You will practice hands-on techniques in the classroom, on fellow classmates and with clients. This program also offers a work experience component in a salon.
Personal Support Worker
Earn a Personal Support Worker certificate. Acquire the skills and knowledge to work as a personal support worker, gain practical experience in a health care environment and earn nine credits towards your Ontario Secondary School Diploma. This full-time program requires 810 hours over 27 weeks.

Child Care Assistant
Explore the important role of child care assistants and learn about the behavior, development and special needs care for children from birth to 12 years of age. Acquire an understanding of the skills and strategies necessary for effective care giving and professional relationships. This is an 18-week program.
Personal Trainer Program
Gain knowledge and skills necessary for a career in the growing fitness and health field. Our Personal Trainer Program meets industry standards and prepares students to become fitness professionals in established facilities and/or to become self-employed. All classes are taught by highly qualified teachers and fitness professionals in a new state of the art fitness facility.
* All international students must pay a non-refundable $200 registration fee

Daily Class Schedules
All Adult Certificate Programs for International Learners are six hours a day, Monday to Friday. Students are expected to be present every day.
The programs are all delivered at TDSB’s adult high schools, which are designated learning institutions.
