Choose not to compare sprinkler features! Toro sprinklers and Rain Bird sprinklers will never be designed in the same way. Toro and Rain Bird have different philosophies regarding golf sprinkler design. As a result, it’s impossible for either company to compare specific features of each product on a side-by-side basis. If a customer asks about a specific Rain Bird feature that Toro doesn’t have, ask: “Why is that important to you?” By doing this, you’ll get to his underlying need. Then explain how we address that specific technical need through our sprinkler design. As the world leader for more than 40 years, we have sold more sprinklers than all of our competitors combined.

DT Series vs. Rain Bird Eagle
The Toro DT Series golf sprinkler has all of the features of the Rain Bird Eagle and is its equivalent for specifications. Further, it offers:
• Dual Trajectory Adjustment nozzle
• Indestructible stainless-steel valve seat
• Selectable pilot valve
DT Series vs. 835S/855S Series
In competitive selling situations, you may need to differentiate the DT Series from the 8S/8S Series. Here’s how:
• The DT Series has a non-ratcheting riser versus the ratcheting riser of the premium 8S and 8S models
• The 8S/8S Series provides superior surge protection
• The 8S/8S Series offers 4 trajectories vs. for the DT Series
The Bottom Line:
Toro DT Series is the most advanced sprinkler in its class.

835S SeriesFull and Part Circle 1" (25mm)
855S SeriesFull and Part Circle 1½" (40mm)
The Toro 8S/8S Series offers the perfect blend of old and new technology that defines reliability, durability, performance and the lowest cost of ownership. They feature enhanced performance from superior coverage:
• Three-nozzle configuration provides better distribution uniformity, nozzle flexibility and system efficiency
• Constant-velocity drive provides reliable rotation speed• Less than half the amperage—run more sprinklers simultaneously or reduce
wiring costs• Ratcheting riser allows adjustment of watering pattern without disassembly
of the sprinkler
More Advanced • Trujectory™ Adjustment from 7˚-30˚ for better coverage• Ratcheting Riser• Low-power solenoid reduces up-front wire installation costs
and saves money
More Durable • Debris-resistant nozzles eliminate clogging
More Reliability • Nearly 3 times the surge protection of our closest competitor• Closed-case design protects internal parts from
contamination and keeps the sprinkler up and running
Lowest Long-TermCost of Ownership
• Removable rock screen is easy to service, requires no special tools
• Indestructible stainless-steel valve seat and communication tube never need replacement

835S/855S vs. Rain Bird Eagle The Toro 8S/8S Series golf sprinklers are the best in the industry because they feature:
• Spike Guard solenoid• Indestructible stainless-steel valve seat• Superior nozzles• Trujectory adjustment• Part- and full-circle operation in one sprinkler
“Every golf course in the world could use a half dozen of them,” a famous golf course architect said recently when shown the new 8S/8S sprinkler. Designed as a specialty sprinkler, the nozzle trajectory is adjustable, which raises or lowers the angle of the spray to place water where you want it.
The Bottom Line:Toro 8S/8S Series golf sprinklers with Trujectory are absolutely the highest featured and best golf sprinkler in the industry.
Before: Sprinkler throws into bunker.
After: Same sprinkler after Trujectory adjustment.

A Toro Control System For Any Need Toro pioneered centralized irrigation control, developing features that set the standard for productivity in the industry. And, since the introduction of SitePro® in 199, we have continued to make upgrades and add features to SitePro based on customer needs in order to further optimize labor and resources.
Now, Toro makes another significant upgrade to SitePro with the introduction of three levels of control, differentiated by capacity and features. The following section shows you a simple, yet effective way to determine your customer’s control system needs. The entire Discovery process for control systems boils down to three steps:Step 1 SitePro Software Level: What is the golf course
type (sources, stations, irrigation method)?Step 2 Project Type: Is the project new construction, a
control system renovation only or a complete system re-do?
Step 3 Communication Requirement: Are the user’s needs better served by one-way or two-way communication? Does the greenkeeper need hand-held control? Is the project better served with a wireline or wireless solution?

Toro GDC SystemHere are the key benefits of the most powerful decoder control system in the industry:
• Reduced wiring cost • Improved reliability • Improved flexibility
Feature Benefit
800 stations/wire path Configuration flexibility, fewer wire paths, lower installation cost – wire and labor
3200 stations/system Accommodates larger systems, doesn’t sacrifice single-head control
4.5 km maximum wire path distance @ 2.5mm2 (14 AWG)
Installation flexibility, lower wire and labor costs because system can be designed using one-guage cable
Built-in decoder surge protection Increased lightning protection, lower cost compared to external surge protection devices
Fuse deactivates shorted decoder Prevents negative impact to downstream decoders
Turns on 50 stations per wire path in one minute
Shorter ramp-up period, operates more sprinklers simultaneously, reduced water window
Diagnostics (short, open, communication)
Reduced troubleshooting time, get back online sooner
Sensor inputs (flow, switch) Monitor system performance from a variety of inputs
