OUR STORY

Established in 2012 by Nisha Varman Shetty, The Urban Yogi

is a Dubai-based sustainable, luxury home décor brand with a

heightened sense of Karma. We are not only eco-conscious

about the carbon footprint of our products, in providing an

avenue to the wares of marginalised craftsmen, we are also

public-conscious.

Built on the fair trade model, artisan welfare is one of our

biggest priorities. Not only do we ensure our craftsmen

receiving adequate compensation, we work tirelessly to ensure

no children are involved in the production line.

The onslaught of the industrial revolution meant talented hands

were forced to abandon what they knew and loved. Thousands

of years of traditions & legacy were on the brink of extinction.

Our efforts not only provide these craftsmen a renewed sense

of purpose; in providing their products a new urban context,

The Urban Yogi works towards preserving and nurturing dying

crafts.

OUR NICHE

As more and more restaurants/ cafes start

switching their fare to include more Organic &

Farm-To-Fork offerings, we’re noticing a rise

in demand for handcrafted, artisanal

tableware to complement the look and feel of

the establishment.

The Urban Yogi works closely with

Restaurants and Chefs to create bespoke

tableware inline with the cuisine to enhance

the presentation of their gourmet creations

while keeping our Fair Trade promise intact.
