• NEURO – the mind / experiences processed by means of our 5 senses

Neuro-Linguistic Programming• LINGUISTIC – the symbolic mapping /

language to map things out

Neuro-Linguistic Programming• PROGRAMMING - the patterns /processes we

use to order our mapping (for communicating)

We all respond according to our map of reality, not reality.

~~ Neuro-Linguistic Presuppositions

What can NLP be used for???

• To help you achieve success more easily• To “re-program” bad habits• To help you overcome phobias• To live a more fulfilled life

The 4 Doors to Unconscious Mind

~~ a simple trick to motivate the class

The 4 Doors to Unconscious Mind

1. Remember the past2. Imagine the future3. Imagine your favorite role model4. Remember a simple example

“The Choice Is In Your Hand!!”

This? Or This?

Remember a simple example:

“Have you ever had a time when you experience that resource?”

“As you recall this instance, what do you see? Hear? Feel? What did you say to yourself?”

Remember the past:

Beware of the choice of words:

To Understand: Ask WHY• Why do you act that way?• Why do you do that?• Why do you judge yourself so harshly?

To Motivate: Ask HOW• How would you do to make it better?• How will you feel when coming to class

on time is no longer an issue?• How are you feeling as a result of the

changes you’ve made?

Instead of asking: What stops you from take action?

Powerful NLP Coaching Questions!• What would you do if you knew you could not

fail?• What stops you?• Are you sure enough to be unsure?• What are you afraid would happen if you got

what you want?
