You will design a Master Planned Community
To complete the assignment you will need to
1. Choose a location in Australia to place your community
2. Sketch a map of your community and the facilities you have chosen to include.
3. Write about the choices you have made for your community and why you made those choices.
4. Include references to back up your reasoning.
Marking Criteria
Connect and Wonder
Establish existing knowledge and define what you need to know. This is a time of immersion, building interest and tuning in.
Questions to ask:
What do I already know?
What do I need to know?
Brainstorm what you already know
Now go into Google and start looking around. Use some of the words you have used in your brainstorming to start your search.
Record some new ideas or concepts that you found along the way. Also jot down ideas or terms you come across that you still need to learn about.
A look at Curation Tools
Curation tools help you keep track of where you have been with your research. They allow you to collect websites you think might be relevant as you go. That way when you go back later for more specific information it’s easier to find what you are looking for. It will also help you put together your references at the end of the assignment task.

Choose one and use it.

Creating a glossary
Understanding key words is an important part of learning how to do research well. Building a glossary will help you keep a record of words that you come across so that you can use them to refine your topic and narrow your search.
Here’s some key terms to get you started:
