BEFORE YOU START TALKING

Get ready!

Make yourself comfortable

Don’t rush to start!

Put on and check you presentation tools/microphoneMake sure it works!Ask for assistance from the organizer

Show the audience that you are ready. Get into position, look at them and start to make an eye contact!

Take the right spot to start - ask “permission” from the audience and walk gently if you need to leave the rostrum

TO START YOU WILL…

Greet the MC and fellow speakers

Get into position, stand firm and introduce yourself

Introduce briefly who you are and your topic by referring the first page your presentation aids(Power points/Videos)

Stress the importance of the topic and its key points!

“Invite” the audience to be “with” you throughout your session

Show some inviting gestures with you hands and face expressions

THEN, START TO “ENTERTAIN” THE AUDIENCE!

Appreciate their presence that making you excited to be there

You are here not to tell or teach but to share some knowledge and experiences

Need their attention/opinions and not their acceptance

Create two-way communications or tell them a story and not expecting the audience to just listening to you

Show some face expressions and gestures that will keep their eyes on you at suitable key points

When you want to stress or your feeling about something that you’re sharing with the audience

Synchronizing the intentions, face expressions and hand gestures

Will require some movements to maintain eye contacts with the audience

Movements that will keep your audience focusing on you

Move around to keep the audience’s eyes on you

Be dynamic and synchronized with presentation aids used at the screen

Be at suitable spots and distance when interacting with the audience

INTERACT WITH YOUR AUDIENCE

Keep inviting the audience to think about your key points!

Throw some questions and invite the audience to answer

Create “arguments” on relevant issues to the topic to get the attention to your key points

Go/walk to the audience, invite and tell them how to respond to you-request to raise their hands

Spots for your positions and some hand gestures

CLOSING THE SESSION

Summarize your session and make a short and concise conclusion!

Thank the audienceTell them how much you appreciate their presence and responses throughout the session

Say your final personal message and leave it to the audience to ponder
