Définition: sensation qui provoque le besoin de se gratter
Diagnostic positif est clinique: excoriations, stries lichénification, surinfection
Prurit physiologique auto protecteur :discret, le soir, au moment de se dévêtir.
Prurit pathologique: lésions de grattage.
Démarche algorithmique d’investigation et de traitement.

InterrogatoireATCD et ancienneté du prurit
Affirmer le prurit et apprécier son intensité
Définir la topographie du prurit: Localisé / Diffus
Définir le mode évolutif du prurit: aigu, chronique, à
prédominance nocturne
Rechercher un contexte de contagiosité
Rechercher un facteur déclenchant: Mdts, Profession

Examen clinique exhaustif
Rechercher une XEROSE cutanée
Rechercher l'existence de lésions cutanées spécifiques
ou secondaires au prurit: avis dermatologique.
Rechercher l'existence de signes extra cutanés : aires gg,
abdomen
Savoir s'aider d'examens complémentaires.
Retenir un diagnostic étiologique.
