Maybe you know or maybe no, but it was 1. june 1995, when this theatre came with first drama. It was on the Kids day and since that they have played a lots of dramas. It has been usually for children, kids, but also for teenagers.

You can see them on Santa Claus day and also in onkology hospitals or foster homes. But they also play in kinder gardens over the east Slovakia. They prepare a big fansy-dress ball every year on Kids day.

This summer they prepare a summer theatre camp for kids since 8 to 18 years old. This camp is going to happen in Mníchovský potok, near Bardejov. Applications you can buy in the theatre. The adress is: Námestie Legionárov 6, Prešov.Everything what isn’t clear you can find on:

The theatre of Jonáš Záborský

It was 1. december 1944 and in building Town theatre was first apearance frist drama Theatre ofJonáš Záborský,at the time Slovak theatre in Prešov, Škriatok. Later it named Krajové slovenské divadlo in Prešov, but in 1951 it got name The theatre of Jonáš Záborský(DJZ). In 1990 opened new building DJZ, first specialistic building of theatre in Slovakia.

History

I am sure, that everybody here, was in DJZ . This theatre is very big and their repertory is very interesting. Everybody can find, what he likes. They play drama for children and adults, for young and old. They also guest another theatre from Nitra, Spišská Nová Ves, Babadlo from Prešov and so on. Every year they prepare The day of opened door.
