Hello Friends,
A huge part of creating an environment at ULCSL that will manifest a new minister is creating that environment in ourselves. When we speak the sacred minister covenant affirmations in the first person, we’re claiming these transformational qualities not only for the minister and the Center, but for ourselves. And because we are the life in our United Life Center, what we create and express as individuals determines what we create and express as a community.
The first affirmation we state in the covenant is “I am inspiring all to live life as Love.” When we capitalize “Love,” we use it to describe a quality of God. When I
think of God as Love, I think of 1 Corinthians 13, the famous Bible passage about love. Years ago, a leader in the church I belonged to suggested reading this passage in the first person – instead of say-ing, “Love is kind,” to read it as “I am kind,” and so on. If you do that, here is what you affirm about yourself:
I am always patient and kind; I am never jealous; I am never boastful or conceited; I am never rude or selfish; I do not take offense, and am not resentful. I take no pleasure in other people’s failings, but delight in the truth; I am always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes. (1 Cor. 13: 4-7; from the Jerusalem Bible).
We inspire all to live life as Love when we express the qualities of Love by being understanding;
tolerant; modest;
accepting; trusting;
considerate; hopeful;
generous; strong;
forgiving; faithful;
and serene.
This is God expressing Itself through us, and it is us demonstrating our oneness with God. The more we open ourselves to the God within us, the more we will truly realize our own perfection, and United Life will realize its perfection. As individuals and as a Center, this is how we fulfill our mission “to honor the presence of God in all, nurture and support spiritual growth and transfor-mation, and empower people to create happy, healthy, abundant lives.” And so it is!
Blessings, Linda Weston

I speak positive, faith-filled words to myself about myself, and watch them unfold in my life. 4
Even if you’re not a seeker, still, follow us, keep searching with us. Even if you don’t know how to play and sing you’ll become like us; with us you’ll start singing and dancing. RUMI (Excerpt)
Ernest Holmes says the part of our mind in which truth resides is in constant communication with God, whether we are aware of it or not. It is the other part of our mind that functions in the world and obeys the world’s laws. It is that part that is constantly distracted, disorganized, and highly uncertain.
God gave us the voice within that can and will guide us to our highest and best when we stop and take some time to listen. It is our work to listen. Join me in finding a consistent place in your home that you can be still for a moment. Light a candle and just be with God. You are beautiful. Become a seeker, and thanks so much for choosing to search with us. It is a joy to watch you sing and dance.

Springtime is so wonderful after the colder winter months of dormancy. I love seeing the early buds on trees and the green leaves of spring flowers emerging through the earth. All the activity, fragrances, and rising temperatures invite us to take in the beauty and consistency of the Nature of God. We often call it change, but truly this seeming change is not change at all. It is the constancy of the laws of Nature.
As we experience these so-called cycles in our own lives, we can look to the laws of Nature and know that everything passes through the cycle of seeming change. We are not separate from this cycle; we are IT as there is only one Life. We are not human and divine; rather we are divinely human, one and the same. Just as winter and spring are not two seasons but nature expressing itself as the Wholeness IT is. When we can recognize and embody this Truth as it applies to EVERYTHING, we can relax and know everything is in Divine right order.
No matter how much it changes, Wholeness remains the same. How wonderful is that? We all have our own ideas of what Life’s purpose is. However, there can only be one purpose as all of life IS one Whole, not parts, components, or pieces. It is a human ego illusion to think there are parts, components, and pieces. One can-not be without the other. This is the consistency of Nature and Wholeness. Our human life is Spirit express-ing itself as itself. There is never disconnect or separateness in wholeness. It is perfect harmony.
Once we recognize the Wholeness of Life, the perception of disharmony shifts into knowing perfect harmony and there is nothing that can go wrong. If an experience or situation seems wrong, it is the law(s) of Nature nudging us to remember Wholeness in everything, inviting us to release the perception of right or wrong and look to the Truth of Wholeness. A Course in Miracles tells us everything is gently placed for our Good. Any-thing that seems discordant is our call back to remembering harmony, love, and peace. We can lay down the conditions we have perceived as wrong and shift our mind to what is always consistent.
Our Wholeness is constant and cannot be changed through conditioning of the mind otherwise. It is impossi-ble to change the nature of God and the laws of Nature. Springtime is a time of remembering everything is renewed and refreshed, reminding us of who and what we are, which never change.
I invite you during this season to remember that no matter how much life seems to change, it always remains the same. As one Life, we are always expressing the goodness and grace of Spirit. Go within to the quiet place and remember not who you are, but WHAT you are. Wholeness abides forever, consistently expressing always as One.
Wholeness IS Consistency

One Strange Rock, an American television docu-mentary series produced by Protozoa Pictures, Over-brook Entertainment, and Nutopia, premiered on National Geographic on March 26, 2018. This se-ries is the extraordinary story of Earth, and why it is special and uniquely brimming with life among a largely unknown and harsh cosmic arena. Executive produced by Darren Aronofsky, and made by Will Smith's production company (Overbrook), One Strange Rock is essentially about the experiences of eight astronauts, and how their time in space led them to see Earth with new eyes. That, in turn, is used as a jumping off point to exam-ine several different branches of Earth Science, with
each episode focusing on a specific astronaut and dealing with a specific topic: the planet's respiratory system; the Theia Impact theory; how the planet protects us from the sun; the origin of life; the Per-mian-Triassic Extinction; the possibility of colo-nizing another planet; how life has both transformed the Earth and been transformed by it; the evolution from single celled microbes to complex organisms; the development of the human brain; and the concept of Earth as home. Whether you binge watch or spread this out to an episode per night, you will find this enlightening, in the fullest sense of that word. I highly recommend this to all of us.

CHURCH LIBRARY
We received a largesse of books this year, for which we need more library shelves.
Buy some wood and we will build them. Buy shelves, assembly required, and we will assemble. Has a neighbor put some by the curb? We will go get them.
Do you know of a library upgrading their shelves? We will take their old shelves. Or, endow us with the funds, and we will select from a catalog.

United Life Sacred New Minister Covenant
There is only one Life! • This Life is good! This Life is God! • This Life is my Life now!
GOD IS THE WHOLENESS THAT I AM.*
For it is written: “Wholeness remains the same no matter how much it changes.” **
As I stand in agreement with my beloved Community, I see my new minister revealed before me as: GUIDING UNITED LIFE TO GROW IN LOVE AND JOY.
I now intend to experience my new minister in full cooperation and agreement with my Community, knowing this truth about myself, for:
I am inspiring all to live life as Love. I am creatively awakening the wisdom in myself and demonstrating Spiritual Principles. I am applying the healing power of Love to reveal wholeness and perfection. I am effectively applying Spiritual Principles and vision to meet community, organizational, and
personal responsibilities. I am creating an atmosphere that manifests abundance, prosperity, and gratitude.
As I now accept the highest expression of a new minister in my life, I know that they will be revealed in a way that will glorify God and serve the highest and greatest good of all who are touched by their presence.
I am grateful God is gracious! So be it now!

Children of the Civil Rights Documentary tells story of Children who led ‘sit-ins’
for state Civil Rights Movement
This documentary tells the story of fourteen children who participated in sit-ins in Oklahoma City restaurants from 1958 until the passing of the Civil Rights Act, which outlawed racial segregation in schools and public places nationwide in 1964.
Former Oklahoma City schoolteacher and civil rights activist, Clara Luper, led the children, all below the age of eighteen, to participate in peaceful protests known as “sit-ins” at restaurants that refused to serve African-Americans in Oklahoma City. The children were Ms. Luper’s classroom students and members of the NAACP Youth Council.
The participants, now adults, described their experiences for the camera, including our own Portwood Williams, Jr.
