The Three Billy Goats Rights and The Forgotten Rights

By: Stephen Kercher

Once upon a time there were four billy goats, who were to go up to the hillside to make themselves fat, and the name of three were "Rights.” The other one was named “Forgotten.” There was not much grass on their side, for they had ate it all. Before they could get to the other side the billy goats must cross the bridge that the mean troll lived under. He was the biggest, ugliest, and worst troll in all of Norway.

So the first goat came up to the bridge joyously singing. "Trip, trap, trip, trap!” (Gladone) went the bridge. "Who's that tripping over my bridge?" roared the troll. (Gladone) "Oh, it is only I, the small goat. I'm going up to the hill to make myself big and strong," said the small goat. "Now, I'm coming to gobble you up," said the troll. (Gladone) "Oh, no please don’t eat me for I am too small and only have four amendments.

They state Congress can't make any law about my religion and I can say whatever I want to say, even to you President Troll. Also, no one can search my body, my house, or my papers and things, unless they can prove to a judge that they have a good reason to think I have committed a crime.

Anything that the Constitution doesn't say that Congress can do should be left up to the states. I don't have to let soldiers live in my house and graze on my pasture, except when there is a war,” said the billy goat. "Wait a little bit until the second Billy Goat Right comes. He's much bigger and consists of five rights." "Oh don’t worry, I like those rights; I like to say whatever I want to say too. Also, I don’t want a soldier living under my bridge!" said the troll. So the small goat crossed the bridge to indulge in the green grass.

After a while the second Billy Goat Right came to the bridge. Trip, trap, trip, trap, trip, trap, went the bridge. "Who's that tripping over my bridge?“(Gladone) roared the troll. “It’s me the largest Billy Goat Right, I need to cross over the bridge so I can eat, drink, and be merry,” said the biggest goat. “I’m going to eat you up!” boomed the troll. (Gladone) “Oh no please don’t eat me up! I may be big but my brother is just as big and he’s much more of a nuisance. You’ve broken his rules before. Spare me, eat him and accomplish something!

My rules are simple, you can't be tried for any serious crime without a Grand Jury meeting first to decide whether there's enough evidence for a trial. If you're arrested, you have a right to have your trial pretty soon, and the government can't keep you in jail without trying you. You also have the right to a jury when it is a civil case. The government can't make you pay more than is reasonable in bail or in fines, and the government can't order you to have cruel or unusual punishments.”

"Oh don’t worry, I like those rights. I don’t want to be thrown in jail just

because I look mean," said the troll. So the goat crossed the bridge; then

indulged in the green grass.

Later, the third Billy Goat Forgotten came to the bridge. Trip, trap, trip, trap, trip, trap, went the bridge. "Who's that tripping over my bridge?" roared the troll. (Gladone) “It’s me the large billy goat; please let me get to the other side for I am very hungry,” said the goat. “I’m very hungry too and I’m going to eat you up!” boomed the troll. “You will be punished if you touch me. You have broken my rules multiple times and I will not stand for it anymore!” said the large goat.

“What will anyone do? I’ve ignored every rule you have; no one cares about you. I despise your rules; your constitutional voice makes me belch!” said the troll. “If the politicians don’t do anything about it, us American goats will!” claimed the Forgotten Billy Goat. “I have five rules; you broke act 1 section 8, and act 2 section 3 by signing ACTA. You can’t sign an executive agreement that impacts the things Congress has control over.

You, President Troll, surrendered dominant U.S. war-making to other lands powers and

international authorities by attacking Libya without consulting Congress. That’s in violation of U.S. Constitution Article 1, Section 8. Don’t forget the one you always break, the balanced

budget amendment. President Troll you haven’t proposed a balanced budget yet and you are suppose to do that every year. This is why we

don’t have enough grass to eat!

You have prevented the U.S. Department of Justice from investigating crimes committed, including voter intimidation! The goats might want a new troll, but are too scared to vote. That breaks the U.S. Constitution Article II,

Section 3, and U.S. Criminal Code Section 135, (Comp. St. § 10305)! You also work with the

enemies of the United States, giving them aid and comfort! Why even coyotes like William

Ayers helped plan your candidacy for president.

You refused to secure our broken borders from illegal alien invasion and international criminal activities, which goes against Article III, Section 3 and Article IV, Section 4. My brothers and I are legal goats but you let illegal goats from other lands eat our green grass,” claimed the goat bravely. “I hate you! I have broken all of your rules; I will not let you cross. I will gobble you up!” boomed the troll. Before the big goat could protest he was gobbled up and forgotten.

The last goat, Billy Goat Right, was the tiniest goat and was scared, as he never stood up for his brother. After a long time he was very lonely and hungry. He was so ravenous he no longer had the will to live.

So he weakly limped up to the bridge. Trip… Trap … Trip ….Trap ……… goes the bridge. “Who’s that limping on my bridge?” said the troll, “It’s only me the tiniest goat.” said the weakly goat, “I’m

going to gobble you up!” boomed the troll. (Gladone) “I may be tiny and I may be weak, but I have the right to bear arms!” said the tiny goat. When the troll heard that he dove into the river

and was never seen again.
