We use the subjunctive to talk about hopes, dreams, and wishes.

• Remember when you use the subjunctive it is all about hopes, dreams, and wishes.

• Bonquiqui’s wishes are KNOWN through her emotions…

• In SPANISH we not only express it through our emotions, but through a MOOD within a TENSE.

• When you want to use the subjunctive you need to include a word that indicates to the listener that you are going to talk about what you dream/hope/wish about.

Tense Mood

The Present Tense Subjunctive Mood(aka Present Subjunctive)

WARNING if you have forgotten how to conjugate the PRESENT tense from Spanish I, you will have many problems… review Present Tense Construction.

You must FORM the YO form of the verb. DROP THE O of the verb. ADD the OPPOsite ending of the verb.
