Welcome Langley and Barnett families to The

    Risk PS!

    SISTER THERESE VISIT

Today we had an amazing morning. Mrs

Blackburn’s best friend from school came in and

she is a nun. What is a nun? Well, they help

underprivileged people. They make an oath and

promise not to break that oath. Sister Therese

said they don’t have their own things. They have

to wear a certain outfit every day. Sister Therese

is a magic nun, one of her tricks was that she put

a cockroach on Mrs Blackburn’s hand and a lot of

people screamed. Sister Therese is going on a

show called The Amazing Race. I find that pretty

    amazing!

please check your child and treat if necessary.

KINDERGARTEN ORIENTATION We were very excited to welcome our

Kindergarten students to their first orientation day

yesterday. We had a great day of learning and

friendship. Children enrolling in Kindergarten in

2020, are invited to attend The Risk PS for the next

three Wednesday’s. This is a great program to

prepare children for their transition to Primary

    School next year.

INTENSIVE SWIMMING In Week 5 and 6, 11 - 22 November we will have our annual intensive swimming program at the Kyogle

Pool. Each year the Kyogle Council generously donates pool entrance to our students. This, as well as the

P&C paying for the bus, allows the school to run the program at

no cost to students. Students will be instructed by qualified

Austswim instructors and once again, we require parent helpers.

Please complete the permission slip and indicate if you are

available to work in groups with our swimmers. Your help is

    greatly appreciated.

REMINDER: YEAR 6 CAMP On Thursday 31 Oct – Friday 1 Nov, Year 6 are invited to attend a Year 6 camp. The

camp begins at 9am Thursday morning and ends at 3pm Friday afternoon, it is an

overnight event held at The Risk PS. The camp is a great way to get to know other

students going to high school in our community of schools.

Ms Sawford has organised a fun itinerary of events

including a trip to the bowling alley and pizza on Thursday

night. Please return the permission note and $40.00 before

    Monday 28 October.

    P&C MEETING

There will be a P&C meeting on Monday 28 October 4:15 in the Primary room. The P&C is an important

part of our school community, I encourage everyone to come and support our P&C.
