This has been a great year, with lots of successes and growth as a school community. We truly enjoy working with each and every one of you and we are proud to have the opportunity to teach your kids. We have a great school community and I am thankful for the support demonstrated by all of you who have participated in various ways. If you are interested in becoming involved with our PTO, please join us at our monthly meeting (2nd Monday of each month).
At the end of the year it is also time to thank all of our staff for the tremendous work they do throughout the school year. I am personally grateful to be a part of such a great team here at Pasadena Park Elementary School. I would also like to wish those staff members who are transitioning to new buildings within the district and / or retiring at the end of the year the very best of luck in the future. Additionally, we will be welcoming a number of new staff to the building next year and look forward to them joining our team.
As the school year winds down quickly, we look forward to a successful transition for our 5th graders into middle school and for all of our students to finish the year strong – Go Pandas! Brad J. Liberg, Principal

The character trait for the month of June is integrity. Integrity can be a tough one to explain to kids. Here’s one way to think of it. At Pasadena Park, we have five rules: Respectful, Responsible, Safe, Cooperative, and Kind. In addition to being rules, these five things are actually our values. This is what we think is very important here at Pasadena Park. Having integrity means staying true to these values. It means being these five things even when others are not. It means that these five things are more important than being funny, or cool, or popular. What are the values in your home? Talk to your kids this month about staying true to your values and having integrity. As the year winds down, we want to take a moment to say thank you for mak-ing this year another great one. We know that kids don’t just automatically come to school feeling positive and excited to learn. We know that parents and guardians, by doing all the amazing things you do, send kids to school that way. We want to thank you for doing such a wonderful job and for always working with us here in the Panda Room. As you may have heard, our wonderful counseling assistant, Sue Shipton, is re-tiring after over 20 years serving West Valley school district. I’ve had the priv-ilege of working with Mrs. Shipton during the last 6 years and have learned a lot. We thank her for her dedication and years of service, and wish her all the best on the next chapter of her life. Congrats Mrs. Shipton! We hope everyone has a great summer. Remember to wear a helmet, drink enough water, and stay away from poison ivy. See you in the fall!
