Never Let Fears Make Your Decisions

Many people let fear make their decisions They don’t try anything new for fear of failure There may be teams you never tried out for,

clubs you never joined, someone you never spoke to for fear of being uncomfortable

Don’t let fear make your decisions, you make your decisions!

Failed in business at 22 Lost for the state legislature

Be Strong in Hard Moments

Small hard moments-occur often– Doing your homework– Getting up when you alarm goes off

Larger hard moments-occur occasionally throughout your life– Getting cut from a team– Being dumped by a long-time boy/girl friend– Death in the family

How to handle Hard Moments

Be Strong Don’t do something stupid that will affect you

for the rest of your life– Don’t give in to one night of pleasure– A weekend of excitement– Thrilling moment of revenge

Overcoming Peer Pressure

Saying NO when all your friends are saying yes, takes raw courage

Use your “Won’t Power” Enter a large deposit into your personal bank

account * Not all peer pressure is bad-sometimes the

pressure you get it to be your best

The Common Ingredient of Success

Discipline– To manage your time– To overcome peer pressure– To overcome your fears– To be strong in the hard moments
