Patriot Reuben Boston Grave Marking

Compatriots from several SAR chapters (Lt. Robert Moseley, Col. Stephen

Trigg, Lafayette and Gov. Isaac Shelby) took part in the Patriot Grave marking

service for Reuben Boston. The service was at the Primitive Baptist Church

Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, KY.

Blue Licks Chapter Kentucky SAR is proud to announce our donation and support to

Kentucky Society Children of the American Revolution (C.A.R.) and their 2017

campaign Fresh Foods for Kentuckians project that helps Farms to Food Banks Trust

Fund which help feed Kentucky's hungry. In the picture Jackie Miller 1st is giving

Blue Licks Chapter donation to Kentucky C.A.R. state President Nelson Paul for

Kentucky C.A.R. Fresh Foods for Kentuckians project. We challenge all Kentucky

SAR chapters to make a donation to Kentucky CAR for the 2017 campaign Fresh

Foods for Kentuckians project that helps Farms to Food Banks Trust Fund. Their

goal is to raise $5,000.00 lets help them make the goal and help Kentuckians. The

Kentucky C.A.R. were the guest speakers at our chapter meeting today.

Blue Licks Chapter SAR, in honor of Rev.

Forrest B. Chilton, donated a check to the

City of Berry, Kentucky to purchase eight

McDonald's gift certificates to be given to

Veterans living in Berry as part of the

chapter Take a Veteran to Lunch program.

National Award Winners

Dennis Scott, a member of the Gov. Isaac Shelby Chapter, received the Westmoreland

Award for Service to Veterans.

The Colonel Stephen Trigg and the Gov. Isaac Shelby Chapters

both won top awards in their respective divisions.

Memorial Day, Louisville Thruston Chapter

Compatriots from the Lafayette and Gov. Isaac Shelby Chapters assisted the Louisville Thruston Chapter in a

Memorial Day event at the Zachary Taylor Cemetery, Louisville, KY.

The Louisville-Thruston Chapter has a number of color guard uniforms

that are no longer needed. Color guard members in other Kentucky color

guards may like to have them. If anyone is interested, they can email the

editor at cescott@twc.com for more information. This attachment shows

the actual uniform. Dan Klinck, Past Commander, is in the picture.

The Louisville Thruston Chapter also

has some nice cockades they are

willing to give to a chapter. Like the

uniforms, contact the editor if you are
