The Junior Cup The Illinois Youth Soccer Junior Cup is a multi-tiered statewide competition for 11U and 12U teams. The event includes the following divisions for 11U and 12U teams:
• Junior State Cup • Junior Presidents Cup • Junior Illinois Cup

If BOTH teams agree to move a match to a location other than Rockford, the HOSTING team MUST EMAIL THE FOLLOWING iysascheduling@gmail.com NO LATER THAN MARCH 30 for 11U and APRIL 22 for 12U.

Group Play Game Changes
Some team will games designated as a HOME TEAM HOST MATCH. The team listed first on the bracket is the home team and should host unless:
The teams agree to play at another location
The game requires significant travel and should be played at a midpoint. Illinois Youth Soccer has marked which games should be played at a midpoint location on the bracket Teams are responsible for any rental fees for midpoint matches

The Illinois Youth Soccer assignor assigns the ENTIRE REFEREE CREW for all Illinois Junior Cup matches.

Referees
Teams are allowed to use any age eligible player from within their club that is registered with an Illinois Youth Soccer competitive league for tournament
play. Those leagues are: YSSL, IWSL, CIYSL, SLYSA or ILLOWA.
All players must have a US Youth Soccer/ IYSA Competitive league pass from and rostered thru one of the Illinois Youth Soccer member leagues
listed above.
A player can play on only 1 Junior Cup team. A player on a Junior Cup team CAN play up in State Cup or Presidents Cup at 13U
or older

Player Eligibility
Teams are required to bring the following to all tournament Games:
1. Gamecard printed off GotSoccer – IF PLAYING AT LOCATION OTHER THAN NAPERVILLE OR ROCKFORD
2. Player and Coaching Passes
3. Pinnies
UP TO 18 PLAYERS ARE ALLOWED TO DRESS ON GAMEDAYS. ALL PLAYERS NOT PLAYING SHOULD BE CROSS-OFF THE GAME CARD

Gameday
At the conclusion of the match the winning team (or home team if a draw in Group Play) should get BOTH game cards from the center.
1. For games played in Naperville or Rockford, at the conclusion of the match a team representative is required to bring the gamecard to the IYSA registration area to report the score
2. For matches held at a location other than Rockford, the winning team is required to scan or take a photo of BOTH gamecards and email them to katie@illinoisyouthsoccer.org no later than 48 hours after the conclusion of the match.
Teams that fail to report their result in a timely manor may be subject to a $50 fine
If a red card is issued during the match, the center will keep the gamecard to submit with the red card report. Any player or coach that is issued a red card (or 2 yellows) is REQUIRED TO SIT THE NEXT MATCH or longer, WHETHER OR NOT THE PLAYER IS CROSSED OFF ON THE GOTSOCCER GAMECARD. Teams that use a player that should be serving a red card suspension will FORFEIT THE MATCH.
Red Card Fines:
Players: $50. Must be paid prior to the player being eligible to return to Cup games
Coach: $150. Must be paid prior to coach be eligible to return to sidelines for a Cup game.
Any outstanding red card fines not paid at the conclusion of the tournament will be billed to the club.

After The Match
Group play will be based on the same scoring used at the US Youth Soccer Midwest Regionals:
• Win: 3 points
• Tie: 1 points
• Loss: 0 points
If group play ends in a tie, the following criteria will determine tie-breakers.
• 1st: Head-to-head
• 2nd: Most Wins
• 3rd: Goal Differential (4 goal max per game)
• 4th: Goals Allowed
• 5th: Penalty Kicks
