The InternetofThings (IoT)isasystemofinterrelatedcomputingdevices,mechanicalanddigitalmachines,objects,animalsorpeoplethatareprovidedwithuniqueidentifiersandtheabilitytotransferdataoveranetworkwithoutrequiringhuman-to-humanorhuman-to-computerinteraction.

Ubiquitouscomputingisthegrowingtrendofembeddingcomputationalcapabilityintoeverydayobjectstomakethemeffectivelycommunicateandperformusefultasksinawaythatminimizestheenduser'sneedtointeractwithcomputersascomputers.Ubicomp devicesarenetwork-connectedandconstantlyavailable.

Object-orientedontology (OOO)isaschoolofthoughtthatrejectstheprivilegingofhumanexistenceovertheexistenceofnonhumanobjects. Objectsexistindependentlyofhumanperceptionandarenotontologicallyexhaustedbytheirrelationswithhumansorotherobjects. ThisisincontrasttoKant,whoheldthatobjectsaresaidtoconformtothemindofthesubjectand,inturn,becomeproductsofhumancognition.(Objectshaveagency,andobjectswillevolveconsciousness!)
