Christmas Fair
Preparations for the annual Christmas Fair at Hewlett Court are well
under way. Staff are busy arranging the event in hope it is bigger and
better than any previous year.
Raffle tickets are now on sale and we have lots of brilliant prizes
donated by local businesses, lodges and companies that Hewlett
Court are involved with. Anyone who would like to purchase any
raffle tickets please speak to the Management Team.
We will be having a variety of stalls, Santa’s grotto and refreshments.
We are asking for donations for the Tombola stall and the raffle, if
anyone would like to donate tombola items please hand them in at
the office. All donations are greatly appreciated. We hope to see
yourselves, family and friends at Hewlett Court’s Christmas Fair on
27th November 2pm-4pm.
Raffle & Tombola Donations
Anyone wishing to donate prizes
for Hewlett Court’s raffle or
tombola for the Christmas Fair
please hand them in to a member
of the Management Team.
All donations will be muchly
appreciated. Thank you in
advance.
The Dining Room
New windows and doors have been put into the
dining room. They look great and brighten the
dining room up. Over the next few weeks we will
be decorating the dining room and we would
like your input on the make over. We will be
coming round with samples of wallpaper and
soft furnishings and the majority vote will be
chosen.
Poppy Appeal
Poppies are available in the reception area of Hewlett Court. All we ask for is a donation. We also
have some enamel lapel pin badges for sale in the office. These are £3 each. Speak to the office
staff if you would like to purchase any.
Holcombe Brook Children
Residents enjoyed a visit from the
school children from Holcombe Brook
in October. The children came to
celebrate the Harvest Festival with
the residents. Everyone enjoyed
joining in singing with the children.
Christmas Items
Over the next few weeks we will be getting
Christmas stock in the shop. We will be
selling Christmas cards, wrapping paper &
tags. We will also have small Christmas gifts
available. If anybody has anything in mind
what they would like the shop to stock,
please mention it to the management team
and we will see what we can do.
Christmas Crafts
Over the next couple of weeks leading
up to Christmas, we will be doing a lot of
Christmas crafts in the activities. The
things we will be making will make ideal
gifts for friends and family. We would
love it if you could all get involved with
the activities, we will be making lots of
Christmas decorations for Hewlett Court.

Frater and Charles Ward. Residents, their family & friends, staff and local neighbours enjoyed the
display and later tucked into black peas, meat and potato pie, parkin and treacle toffee made by
Hewlett Court’s cooks Melanie Ard and Mariya Abi. A lovely evening was had by all.
