The Greenpoint Ave Bike Path

Greenpoint Ave has a designated bike lane …

… that ends at the intersection between Greenpoint Ave and Kingsland Ave.

The bike lane ends right before the J.J. Byrne Memorial Bridge to Sunnyside, Queens.

There is signage warning cyclists that the lane ends.

And a sign asking cyclists to dismount and walk across the bridge.

However, the narrow walkway offers little protection against a 4-lane roadway.

On the Sunnyside end of the bridge, there are no bike lanes.
